Elizabeth Wallace is a painter who is interested in the bio-diversity, resilience and beauty offered by the native chaparral environment in California. She explores symbolic meaning in the landscape as well as figurative interaction with the environment.
Her still life compositions illustrate how inanimate objects can reveal the inner workings of our lives.
Wallace studied Fine Art at the Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, CA and has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa.

Song of the Land examines how artists focus attention to the challenge of preserving, sustaining and protecting our planet. The show runs from January 20, 2012 to May 31, 2012, and is located at the Skirball Center, Hebrew Union College, 3077 University Avenue, Los Angeles, CA. Artist Reception is February 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. Scorched was juried into this exhibition.
